A leading national advisory firm is seeking an accomplished Managing Director – Marital & Family Law Disputes (Litigation Support) to join its expanding disputes practice. This is a senior, client-facing role designed for a recognized expert with a strong referral network and a proven ability to generate and sustain revenue.
The Opportunity
You will lead and grow a specialized practice focused on high-net-worth and complex marital disputes, partnering closely with top-tier family law attorneys, private client advisors, and fiduciaries. The platform offers deep technical resources, a strong brand in valuation and disputes, and the autonomy to scale your personal practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and lead engagements involving marital dissolutions, shareholder disputes within family-owned businesses, and complex asset tracing
- Deliver expert analysis on business valuation, income determination, and financial forensics in divorce proceedings
- Serve as an expert witness in court, arbitration, or mediation settings
- Cultivate and expand relationships with family law attorneys, wealth managers, and private client professionals
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the strategic direction of the disputes practice
Requirements
- Extensive experience in litigation support with a focus on marital/family law disputes
- An established book of business exceeding $1M annually, with strong referral relationships in the family law ecosystem
- Deep expertise in business valuation, forensic accounting, and/or financial investigations in divorce contexts
- Prior experience at Director or Managing Director level (or equivalent)
- Strong courtroom presence and the ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly and persuasively
